Busan is spread along the coast, so a good plan groups sights by area. This three-day route is built from the places local travel blogs mention most: Gamcheon, Jagalchi and the markets, the Haeundae coast, and the Gwangan Bridge at night.
Getting there and around
- From Seoul, the KTX high-speed train to Busan Station takes roughly two and a half hours. From Gimhae Airport, take the light rail and transfer to the metro.
- Busan has metro lines 1 to 4 plus the Donghae Line. A transit card works on metro and buses. Taxis are inexpensive for short hops, especially for Gamcheon and the Haeundae coast.
- Stay near Haeundae for beaches and easy transport, near Seomyeon for central access, or near Nampo-dong and Busan Station for markets.
Day 1: Old Busan and the markets
- Morning: Gamcheon Culture Village. Arrive early to avoid crowds. Walk the hillside lanes and see the mural-covered houses.
- Lunch: pork soup (dwaeji gukbap) or milmyeon in the Nampo area.
- Afternoon: Jagalchi Market, Gukje Market, BIFF Square seed hotteok, then Bupyeong Kkangtong.
- Evening: Yongdusan Park and Busan Tower for the city view, or raw fish dinner at Jagalchi.

Day 2: Haeundae coast
- Morning: Haeundae Blueline Park (Sky Capsule or Beach Train), Cheongsapo, Dalmaji-gil. Reserve ahead on weekends.
- Lunch: seafood in Cheongsapo, or Haeundae Market street food.
- Afternoon: Haeundae Beach and Dongbaek Island walking path.
- Evening: Haeundae Market or a seafood dinner.

Day 3: Temple, island and the bridge
- Morning: Haedong Yonggungsa, one of the few temples on a sea cliff. Go early; there are stairs.
- Midday: Songdo Marine Cable Car, then Songdo beach and Amnam Park, or Heuinnyeoul Culture Village on Yeongdo.
- Evening: Gwangalli Beach, sunset, and the Gwangan Bridge lights. Eat raw fish at nearby Millak Waterside Park.

Tips
- Weekends are crowded at Gamcheon, Blueline Park and Haeundae. A weekday plan is much easier.
- Summer is humid and rainy in July; typhoons can occur from late summer to early autumn. Keep one indoor option such as the Centum City area.
- Use Naver Map or Kakao Map for walking and transit directions. Google Maps works poorly for detailed walking routes in Korea.
