The Gwangan Bridge is Busan's most recognizable night scene, and Gwangalli Beach is the natural place to watch it from. The bridge is lit up in colorful LED patterns after dark, and the beach is lined with cafes, restaurants and bars that face it directly. Local travel blogs mention Gwangan Bridge more than any other evening sight in the city.
Gwangalli Beach
- Walk the beach promenade at sunset, then stay as the bridge lights come on.
- Cafes on the second and third floors of the beachfront buildings have the best views. Seats by the window fill early on weekends.
- Millak Waterside Park, at the Millak end of the beach, is popular for picnics and raw fish eaten outdoors. Buy the fish from a nearby shop and ask about the table charge.

Drone shows and fireworks
Gwangalli hosts drone light shows on a regular schedule, and the large annual fireworks festival is held here as well. Dates, times and cancellations (for weather) change, so check the official Busan tourism pages for the current calendar before planning around them.
Other good evening spots
- Yongdusan Park and Busan Tower for a view across the city and harbor.
- Songdo Marine Cable Car and the Songdo coast for a quieter sunset.
- Dadaepo Beach, where the sunset fountain show runs in the warmer season, if you want to avoid crowds.
- Haeundae Beach for an easy evening walk with plenty of dining.
Tips
- Gwangalli is crowded on weekend nights. For fewer people, go on a weekday or start before sunset.
- The beach is breezy at night even in summer; bring a light layer.
- Subway Line 2 serves Gwangan and Geumnyeonsan stations. Walk 10 to 15 minutes to the beach.
