Opened in 1995, E-World was developed around the grand 83 Tower (formerly Woobang Tower), which was engineered using traditional Korean octagonal pagoda motifs translated into high-strength steel and concrete. Standing 202 meters high (and reaching 312 meters above sea level), the complex serves as the iconic entertainment and visual beacon of metropolitan Daegu.
The park is divided into four fantasy theme zones surrounded by sweeping European-style castle facades, gardens, and fountains. Major thrills include the Mega Swing 360, the Boomerang inverted coaster, and Sky Drop (Korea’s highest free-fall drop tower dropping from 103 meters). Tower Floor 77 houses the digital observatory and Sky Lounge revolving restaurant.
Spring hosts the legendary E-World Cherry Blossom Festival, where over 30,000 illuminated cherry trees create Korea’s premier night cherry blossom spectacle. Summer features cooling water splash festivals and laser shows. Autumn blankets the gardens in cosmos and silver grass, while winter transforms the entire park into a glittering 10-million-bulb starlight wonderland.
E-World operates daily from 10:00 to 21:00 (extended to 22:00 on Fridays, Saturdays, and holidays). The 83 Tower Observatory operates from 10:30 to 22:00 (last elevator at 21:30). Visiting around 16:30 allows travelers to experience both the daytime rides and the breathtaking sunset transitioning into the illuminated night panorama.
83 Tower Observatory ticket: 10,000 KRW for adults / 8,000 KRW for children. E-World All-Day Free Pass: Adults 49,000 KRW / Youth 44,000 KRW. Evening After-5 Pass (entry after 17:00): 35,000 KRW. Foreign visitors often receive 20-30% discounts by presenting their passport or booking via official travel partner platforms.
Take Daegu Metro Line 2 to Duryu Station and use Exit 15. A flat, well-marked 5-minute walk brings visitors to the grand ticket plaza. A complimentary Skyway cable car connects the main theme park entrance plaza directly up to the base terrace of 83 Tower.
The park is equipped with smooth paved walkways, accessible ramps, and elevator access in 83 Tower and all main indoor exhibition halls. Wheelchairs and baby strollers are available for rental at the Guest Services Center near the main entrance gate.
Enter Main Gate → ride the Skyway cable car to 83 Tower base → take high-speed elevator to Floor 77 Observatory for 360-degree panorama → explore the European flower gardens → ride the Mega Swing 360 and Boomerang coaster → watch the evening Starlight illumination and laser parade.
83 Tower houses the 78th-floor luxury revolving restaurant Grill 83 (fine-dining steaks and wine) and Food World on 4th floor serving Daegu-style spicy cold buckwheat noodles (makguksu), artisan pizzas, and street snacks like churros and spiral potatoes.
Vegetarian pizza and pasta are prepared at Italian bistros within 83 Tower. Fast-casual dining halls provide vegetable fried rice and salads. Nearby Duryu Station offers traditional tofu hotpots and bibimbap establishments.
Top photo spots: the red double-decker British bus surrounded by blooming cherry blossoms at the 83 Tower entrance, panoramic glass photos looking down from the glass Sky Walk on Floor 77, and the romantic illuminated Heart Light Tunnel in the theme park gardens.
Follow ride height and health safety regulations strictly at all amusement attractions. Outside alcohol and cooking appliances are prohibited. Drones cannot be flown inside the amusement airspace.

Duryu Park, Kolon Outdoor Music Hall, and Daegu Cultural Arts Center lie immediately across the southern perimeter of the park grounds.
Q: Can I visit only the 83 Tower without buying a theme park pass? A: Yes, 83 Tower has a separate road entrance and visitors can purchase an observatory-only ticket (10,000 KRW) without purchasing an E-World theme park ticket.
